2017: Mighty Morphing Power GODDESS

2017: Mighty Morphing Power GODDESS

If I had to pick a theme for 2017, I would say TRANSMUTATION/ METAMORPHOSE/ EVOLUTION are quite accurate. Much like 2016’s them of CHANGE, but bumped up a few levels, I cannot deny that these days I’m a Mighty Morphing Power Goddess, my Consciousness and Nature taking new forms. From my Dreamworld becoming more and more vivid and relevant for my Waking World, to my Waking one’s clear messages, intuitions and manifestations, this QU-EEN is eternally grateful for the gift of 2017. When I reflect on the year that it’s been, I am aware that it has been the best year of my life. Funny because a year ago 2016 was the best year of my life, and at the end of 2015, the same. How is it possible that each year keeps getting better? I’ve asked myself this question and this is what I’ve come up with:

I HAVE FINALLY DECIDED THAT EACH YEAR I LIVE IS GOING TO BE THE MOST AUTHENTIC JOURNEY, WHERE OPEN HEART (AND RECEPTIVE TOO) MEETS WILLING AND OPEN MIND, TO DANCE IN THIS PHYSICAL REALM FREE AND TRUE, MEETING OTHERS AND SHARING SPACE WITH THEM, CREATING MAGIC. AND I WON’T ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS.

I’LL RECAP FOR YOU FRIENDS WHERE AND WHEN THE TRANSMUTATION TOOK PLACE:

THIS YEAR I LIVED IN TWO REGIONS OF ESPAÑA &

VISITED 8 COUNTRIES (3 new countries and many new cities and towns in 5 other countries)

Deutschland- 4 trips in 4 seasons

Israel & Palestine- in April

Portugal- in late May

Iceland- in June/July

USA- in July/August

England- in December

Italia-to round out the year and kick off 2018

I TRAVELED TO A NEW REGION THIS YEAR: THE MIDDLE EAST Traveling throughout ISRAEL and PALESTINE was an important time to fall in Love ALL OVER AGAIN with the elements, the Natural World. When I wasn’t out exploring in the outdoors, I was exploring my own inner workings. I was discovering that I could attract moments and people to myself, and that I could thrive as a Soula Traveler in two countries where I didn’t speak the local language. I was open. I was strong in will. And I could learn to love my journey, no matter what happened, no matter what I had initially thought my trip would be. It was exactly what it was meant to be; a transformative and magical 11 days that live on in me.

I HAD AN ALL AMERICAN ROADTRIP WITH THE FAM THROUGH 3 STATES: California, Arizona & New Mexico. There was a plan I was hatching before even arriving back to the U.S. for a visit, and that was a Roadtrip through the Southwest with my main loves, as an ode to the epic family road trips us del Ríos took, being the first big travels of my life. It didn’t take that much convincing. . . Mom, sister and dad were with me. I had my heart set on going to New Mexico (to squeeze in a visit with my soul sister Sascha), and the rest would happen organically. Desert storms witnessed from inside the car, the naturally terrifying thunder, lightning and rain that are typical of summer in these parts were incredible to experience together. Some small towns along the route, a Meteor Crater site in N. Arizona, then Santa Fe, mystical Chimayó, a few nights in a Vintage Trailor Hotel in Taos, and experiencing the Río Grande Gorge were this family’s playground. Free to feel inspired by these sights in the backyard of California, this trip was way overdue.

I MOVED TO A NEW REGION IN ESPAÑA: MALLORCA! Yes I moved to las Islas Baleares, those sought after Mediterranean islands. Why Mallorca? I ask myself the same question sometimes. It was a thought, a probable event, that took physical form because of my belief that Mallorca had something for me. And I’m sure that it does. I’ve manifested working only 3 days a week, which means I have 16 days a month free for myself, for my soul journey. This is a gift. This is a challenge. I am riding this Mediterranean wave because there is truth inside me that has long been buried, truth that I am ready to remember now. Stick around and I’ll show you this gem on Earth. Stick with this QU-EEN who guided by white owls here (yes I’ve had some magical moments at dusk with these teachers of the isla) is going to claim her true power.

I TOOK A SOLO TRIP TO ICELAND: Wait ICELAND? Yes. I had long been admiring from my laptop the incredible landscapes far and away, and my curiosity grew with time. So I booked the flight; first the one departing from Iceland to California (WOW Airlines was great for that long haul flight), and then a flight to Iceland from Germany, which would give me 11 days to get into all kinds of trouble. Summer in Iceland for me was a dream. It was a hallucination and a tangible experience simultaneously. I swear I have seen parts of the country before in my dreams, which must be why I felt so comfortable navigating throughout the North, West, bit of East and South. I rented a car and slept in it for 5 nights, though sleep was more akin to “rejuvenating naps”. I had the Midnight Sun on my side, which meant it was never truly dark throughout my stay. I was energized, I was operating on a different system of time, following natural rhythms, following intuition. I am now certified in the art of going with the flow, of allowing the land/terrain and the energy to dictate what’s next. Risk pays off. Trust in yourself and trust in the Universal blessings, pays off.

IT WAS A YEAR OF REUNIONS FOR ME: I traveled all the way to Israel to reunite with Odeya, a traveler I had met in Mexico and later traveled to visit in Barcelona. I traveled to California for 6 weeks, and had quality fam time, sister time, and many lazy mornings and afternoons with my dogs. Fast forward to September, my love came to Mallorca to play in the sun with me. In October, Adeline, a French traveler I met while in the Israeli Desert came to Mallorca to bask in the natural glory here. Finally at the end of the year, my favorite people scattered in Galicia (Spain), Kent (England) and Bretagne (France) and I reunited for Wintery Feels in Bath, UK. I know, I know. I’m blessed. I got connections, soul connections sprinkled throughout this beautiful Terra. That’s something to be truly grateful for.

NOW FOR SOME OF MY FAVORITES FROM 2017:

FAVORITE FORM OF TRANSPORTATION: MOTO WITH MY ROMAN, ALL OVER MALLORCA

Cooltra Scooter, Mallorca by Moto
I prefer Mallorca by Moto, with my Roman
Explore Mallorca by Moto
Mallorca by Moto, Sa Calobra zigs and zags, and sunset views at Formentor

This was one of the easiest picks, because riding a moto around Mallorca for over a week was thrilling, absolutely the best way to see the island in Summer. Out on the open road, we traveled to distant beaches, through tiny villages, took on the TRAMUNTANA MOUNTAINS and the infamous SA CALOBRA HIGHWAY (two standout places on Majorca), to the Northernmost point of the island to Formentor (another incredible and “must drive” road if you can/ if you are brave enough to attempt where the winds rule), and most importantly we had each other. Discovering together, we shared in this paraíso.

FAVORITE VIEWS: CINQUE TERRE

From any angle, from high up in the mountains, or at sea level in the colorful villages, these were some of the best views I had, often leaving me without words but full in heart center. I could look out to the Sea and never tire of the view. I could spend most of my time alone, and not ever feel truly alone. If I looked to nature, to the grapevines and pine trees, to the lemon and orange trees, to the tiny homes clinging to the cliffs, to the joyful colors of the façades, to seagulls from the terrace and eagles from the mountainside, how could I feel alone? And to top it all off, I met a local from Corniglia (one of the 5 towns) who showed me a mountain hike that was incredible, and spoke to me of the traditions that have existed here for centuries, from even the Roman times. He pointed out the details in the land he calls home, Cinque Terre, and ALL IN ITALIAN. And I understood him!!! We had some beautiful moments that I will keep with me. More to share in the upcoming Italia Blogs. Believe me, I cannot wait to share more in depth my journey through Italia, Cinque Terre forever in my heart.

FAVORITE DESSERT: THE BEST OF ITALIA’S TOSCANA & LIGURIA

Italian Desserts
No doubt the best dessert in the year happened in my trip to ITALIA

GELATO in Firenze and Cinque Terre, and SCIACCHETRÀ sweet wine and LIMONCINO made from the peel of Cinque Terre’s lemons, can we just have a moment of silence for these most delectable sweets and adult treats? Both the digestivi here (after meal drinks meant to help you digest your food) were extra special because they came from the mountains of Cinque Terre, and are labored with love by locals of these Seaside villages. Each sip, was a POW! to the palette, and a warming sensation followed. They tasted of the land. If you know me at all, you know I love to buy local, and Italia never disappoints when it comes to local flavors and products. My mouth is watering as I type this, sorry not sorry though. Grazie Mille Italia! A Doppo!

FAVORITE CUCINA: L’ITALIANA VINCE ANCORA UNA VOLTA

Italian Food for a QU-EEN
Italian Food for a QU-EEN: Regions include: Liguria, Toscana, and Lazio (Roma)

There is a reason Italian food is known and transported all over the world. . . because the recipes, flavors, and intention to make you FEEL while you eat and REMEMBER what you ate long after, well it’s pure Italian Magic. And don’t be fooled. Italia does not cook up the same food throughout the country. Region to region, the delicate and playful dishes change tremendously. Italians do it best. Without a doubt. In two weeks traveling and eating, I never had a bad meal. NEVER. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for my Italia Blog Posts that will rock your world and get you closer to booking a flight.

FAVORITE DRINK: EVERY GLASS OF WINE I HAD IN ITALIA

Refer to Photos above!! Chianti from Toscana and the Wine from Cinque Terre were standouts for me. I was lucky enough to walk in the mountains where the brave Vines of the villages of Cinque Terre hug the terraces, not growing much higher than my waist for then they would be susceptible to severe winds, and I appreciated this time honored labor of love to produce such a fantastic vino. Don’t miss asking for Vino della Casa when you have a chance to travel to this region.

FAVORITE SUNRISE: TAOS, NEW MÉXICO, USA

Taos New Mexico at Sunrise
USA has some great Sunrises, Taos New Mexico wins

There is nothing greater than spending time in the outdoors marveling in the Natural Phenomena that we often take for granted, like the Sun joining us every day. On our final morning of the Southwest Road trip, while staying in a trailer turned hotel, I woke up in time to await the sunrise from our deck. Trouble was, New Mexico even in Summer is chilly and cold when the sun’s not out. Wrapped in the huge and thick comforter I slept with, I went out solo to brave the cold, ecstatic that I’d get to witness SUNRISE THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN RANGE. I woke up really early apparently, because what should have been 30 minutes of wait time turned into about 1.5 hours. But there are no mistakes, and in the end I studied the landscape in every shade, every mood over the span of 90 minutes. I watched the clouds come and go, the fog as well. I felt the beauty and the peace of this place. I heard and watched the birds who were up early with me to get the worm. I spent some beautiful moments in solitude here, until my sister joined me just a few minutes before SOL announced another day, another gift. Glorious SOL!

I wrote 31 Blog Posts this year about my Travels. Search by country or topic on the SEARCH TAB on my site if interested about a specific part of the world. It was my passion and honor to write so much this year about this blessed Earth.

MY FAVORITE BLOG POST from this year is. . . instead I’ll choose 3 posts I really enjoyed writing:

Healing Elements of Israel: Fire

Relationships, Non-Relationships, Love, Travel and Reflections: Europe Edition

Chasing Waterfalls in Iceland

So this was my year, the BEST OF MY LIFE thus far. Eternal gratitude to those that took part, shared their time, stories, selves/souls with this QU-EEN. Each of you lives in me. Gratitude for the teachers who enlightened me and the quiet souls whose presence alone taught me something. Gratitude to those that hosted me somewhere in the world, especially my Roman, Odeya, Sophie, Danielle and my Sister/Momma-san and Booty. I have one gift for each of you, and it is my wisdom. Decide now that THIS YEAR, 2018, is going to be the most authentic journey, where open heart (and receptive too) will meet willing and open mind, to dance in this physical realm free and true; where meeting others and sharing space with them, creating magic happens because YOU BELIEVE IT CAN AND WILL. And don’t accept anything less. You have the Power. You have the Power. You have the Power my gods and goddesses. Now use it! ALL MY LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s the question that drives us. You know the question, just as I did.

-What is the Matrix?

The answer is out there. It’s looking for you. And it will find you. If you want it to.
